ABOUT US
AudioCipher Technologies is a bootstrapped, indie software startup from the pacific northwest of the United States. We help artists overcome creative barriers and keep their music sketches organized.
Our first plugin version launched in 2020 and the team has continued to iterate each year, improving on the chord and melody generation feature until we arrived at the MIDI Vault (Version 4.0) in 2024.
During October 2025, we launched three sample packs and a new marketplace, in collaboration with multi-platinum sample creator Beats By Mantra. The packs includes an .AUCI format that loads in the MIDI Vault.
Ezra Sandzer-Bell
CEO / FOUNDER / PROJECT MANAGER
Ezra is a musician and digital marketer. He wrote the original algorithm for AudioCipher V1, bootstrapped the company and has overseen product design, development & marketing for four years. His articles have driven more than 850k site visitors and he continues to grow the company year over year.
Carisa Lolmaugh
PRODUCT DESIGN LEAD / ART DIRECTION
Carisa is our co-founder and designed all of our products. She played a critical role in early market research and transformed our plugin wireframes into the futuristic, modern looking interface that people love. Over 4 years she has created AudioCipher's product trailers, motion graphics and helped to design our websites.
Steve Parris
LEAD SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
Stevie is a senior software engineer and musician based in Philadelphia, PA. He has been our sole developer since launch in early 2020. He became a new father in 2024 and saw AudioCipher to completion at the same time. We're incredibly grateful for Stevie and we couldn't have done this without him!
Federico Gonzalez
SENIOR ASSISTANT GRAPHIC DESIGNER
An experienced designer and creative lead, Federico has worked with global brands, focusing on innovative design solutions across branding, illustration, video/motion, and product design. He's likely playing drums when he's not working on cool stuff.
Chris Gruchacz
VIDEO GAME MUSIC COMPOSER / PRODUCER
Chris is a composer and live performer from Oregon who joined AudioCipher as a video content creator in 2021. He has become a part of our core product team, responsible for QA testing, recording installation tutorials, and making product demos.
Brett Simmons
VIDEO CONTENT CREATOR / MARKETING
Brett became a collaborator in early 2023. As we focused on our blog and covered the best new AI music tools, he supported us with over a dozen pieces of original videos to cover the products in depth. He has since become one of our core content partners.
